Emanuel School takes our links with the local community very seriously.

Local primary schools and prep schools use our heated indoor swimming pool. Members of the community and their families may use our pool by enrolling on a programme arranged by the South West Swimming School or take advantage of our grounds by attending holiday activity courses for children run by Activ.

From autumn term 2009 we are planning to host a netball academy for local primary school age children and a netball sessions for older children and adults in association with a local netball club.

Pupils from selected local schools are invited to attend free special events such as Sports Days and Understanding Science sessions.

We open our doors every year as part of London Open House weekend, giving tours of the Main Building which was built in 1871 and designed by Henry Saxon Snell. On 12th June, 2010, Emanuel is also part of the London Open Garden Squares for the first time. The grounds will be open from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

Members of the public are welcome to attend a variety of cultural events at the school such as concerts, plays and art exhibitions. Finally it is possible to book some of the school’s facilities on certain days during the year.  Over recent years we have hosted cricket matches, concerts and Junior Citizenship programmes at Emanuel – and are happy to do this provided that the facilities are free for use on the dates suggested.

The buttons to the left of this page give further details of the various possibilities on offer. However, if you have a query which is not covered in these pages, please contact the Director of Finance and Administration and we will let you know what is, and what is not, possible depending on the nature of your enquiry.
