If you can’t bring the students to the café, the café has to come to the students!
In this case local French café Deli Boutique from St John’s Hill and Webb’s Road brought the croissants, pain au chocolat, chocolat chaud and delicious freshly-squeezed jus d’orange to the Year 8 pupils for a fun end-of-year outdoor French café experience, organised by the French Department.
All the pupils had to order in French, which they did with great enthusiasm, and according to café owner Laetitia Choimet, they were very polite and all said ‘s’il vous plait’ nicely!
This was the first year for this event and a grand succès so it is certain to be repeated in the future.
