At the start of February, Emanuel celebrated its 5th annual Pride Week to chime with the start of LGBTQ+ History Month.

The Art department showcased a fantastic exhibition with pupil-made works on the theme of ‘Growth’. See Year 12 student, Dougie’s work here.

The Pride Gig returned in a shower of glitter and multi-coloured nail polish, with staff and students performing songs from their favourite queer artists. Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club being a crowd favourite! Check out some of the great performances on our Instagram.

Pupils in the Middle School heard from Henry Hudson of People Change Minds. Whilst the Sixth Form looked at Gender in Nature.  There were quizzes, word searches, rainbow cupcakes and treasure hunts galore, with the week culminating in a colourful home clothes day.  There has been such a vibrant display of allyship across the school this week, with many sporting their Emanuel Pride pins badges to support our theme ‘Together We Are Stronger’.
