On Sunday 11th September, 76 rowers including 8 recent leavers completed an epic row from Windsor to Emanuel!
They rowed 54km and navigated the 13 locks on the Thames.
After a short lunch stop at Kingston Grammar School boat club, they raced to catch the tide home.
The rowers gathered sponsorship over the summer with a target of £10,000, which they massively exceeded. This will enable us to provide transformative free places at Emanuel.
“The figure raised, reflected the Boat Club’s sense of teamwork and what can be achieved by everyone committing to doing their best. It was a brilliant day’s training for our rowers, and we are excited about getting racing in the upcoming Head races. I want to personally thank all staff and parents involved in the row.”
