There are lots of ways to get involved and stay connected to Emanuel. The main way is through the Emanuel Society which incorporates all members of the school community – pupils, parents, alumni, staff and friends of the school. Its aim is to keep everyone updated and to provide a range of opportunities for our community to stay connected to the school.

The Emanuel Society includes the Anne Dacre Club which organises trips, visits, lectures and dinners. Many of these will be unique cultural events with an Emanuel twist, where we offer money-can’t-buy experiences through leveraging the phenomenal talents and achievements of our alumni and parent body.

The 1594 Legacy Club

The 1594 Club is for any OE who intends ‘to honour the charitable aims of the school’s founders’ by leaving the school a gift in their will or by supporting the school through regular donations. Membership is free for anyone who expresses an interest in supporting the school into the future.

We will hold regular events for 1594 Club members, including an annual summer event to be held at Emanuel with a lunch, tour of the school and the opportunity to visit the extensive school archive.

Speaking at Emanuel

Each year, Emanuel hosts a number of speakers who aim to educate, engage and inspire our pupils. These talks can be based on curriculum topics, life skills or careers. We also host the Goddard Lecture series where influential speakers offer opportunities to engage with topics or ideas beyond pupils’ day-to-day life and outside the curriculum.

Each year we also host a number of external speakers as part of our Anne Dacre Club. The audience for these events is mainly parents, alumni and selected pupils. If you would be interested in speaking, please email our Alumni and Development Manager, Anna Van Es at

Sponsoring a free place

We currently have a number of families who have chosen to sponsor a specific child’s place at Emanuel. You can read more about the impact of these transformative free places here but if you would like to know more then please email our Development Director on
