Swing into Spring

The annual Swing Into Spring concert featured the jazz and swing talents of over 50 pupils.

Featured groups included Concert Band, Big Band (pictured above), Intermediate Brass, Jazz Quartet, Junior Saxophones (pictured below), Junior and Senior Percussion Groups and two smaller jazz groups. Within the different pieces there were a host of solos, all enjoyed and applauded by the audience.

Particular thanks were due to the visiting music teachers Katrina Lauder, Finlay Crowther, George Philips and Fabian Baird, who ran the groups, organised the concert and provided extra instrumental backing where required.
