This has to be another OE first… Temi Ochugboju (OE 2009-11,writes as Temi Oh) will be appearing at the iconic fantasy and science-fiction superstore, ‘Forbidden Planet’ on Shaftesbury Avenue on Thursday evening for the launch of her debut YA novel Do You Dream of Terra-Two? She will also be doing book signings from 6.00pm onwards.

Do You Dream of Terra-Two?, published by Simon & Schuster, has attracted considerable hype and early reviews and Temi is already being tipped as a major new voice in teen fiction. The plot is intriguing, centred upon a 23-year space journey to find an inhabitable planet in a nearby solar system.

'Do You Dream of Terra-Two?' launches on 7th March 2019.

After leaving Emanuel in 2011, Temi studied Neuroscience at King’s College London, but consequently took a slightly unorthodox change of direction as she pursued MA Creative Writing at Edinburgh University. In her time at Emanuel, Temi was a massive book lover and bibliophile, so we were delighted to hear of her guesting in book events and featuring in lists such as “Ten must-read books by black female authors for 2019”.

We have the book pre-ordered and are desperate to read it. At some point we hope to invite Temi back to school to talk to current pupils about her fascinating journey in becoming a published novelist.
