We are delighted to welcome all staff and pupils back to Emanuel for the Autumn term 2020.

Full information and guidance about how we are managing the reopening of the school has been sent to all pupils and parentsthis information is also available for pupils and parents on Firefly here and is updated as required

Detailed risk assessments have been undertaken and the summary of these has been published on the website here . The school continues to closely follow the guidelines provided by the government and Public Health England, and to review the broader and school-specific picture on an ongoing basis to ensure it is a safe environment for pupils and staff. We will continue to send regular communication to all parents as the situation evolves and should the guidance require any significant changes to our procedures.

We are incredibly grateful to all our staff who have worked hard to implement and  understand new practices and procedures to ensure the school can operate safely, within the DfE guidance and that the day-to-day experience of life at Emanuel remains a positive one.

Visitors and visitor health declaration form

We are limiting visitors to the school site during the school day unless their presence is for the delivery of education or safe maintenance of the site. School events, including our pastoral evenings, are being hosted via online platforms such as Zoom. Information about how we will run parents’ evening this term will be shared with parents in due course.

For visitors whose visits to site are confirmed, we ask that they familiarise themselves with our Visitor Policy (Covid-19) which outlines current arrangements. Full information for parents attending sporting fixtures is also contained within this document.

Should you have any specific pastoral or safeguarding concerns we encourage you to contact the school designated safeguarding lead Mr Kothakota (Deputy Head: Pastoral) or any member of the school’s safeguarding team (safeguarding@emanuel.org.uk).

There will be some changes to our admissions procedures this year so we can ensure our processes remain as far as possible, as well as keeping our applicants safe during the pandemic. Further details about the process will be shared with prospective parents in due course.
