Last week, the Maths department sent 30 boxes of old textbooks to the charity Books2Africa.
Books2Africa is committed to reducing environmental waste in the UK while simultaneously improving the quality of education in Africa through the collection and distribution of books – 20,000 books are collected by Books2Africa and saved from landfill in the UK monthly!
Who knows, perhaps this might help discover the next Ramanujan (famous Mathematician from a very deprived area in India)…
