The below shows a summary of our A level results in recent years when formal examinations have taken place.

2023: Best Oxbridge results for two decades, and sustained growth in performance

Ofqual’s letter in September 2022 clarified that this summer would see a return to ‘pre-pandemic’ grading. (2019 and before)

Within this context and set against the pre-pandemic A level outcomes of 2019 and before, our 2023 leavers (a cohort 50% larger than the one seen 5 years ago, and a third larger than in 2019) have achieved very strong outcomes, gaining Oxbridge, Russell Group, leading university and specialist college places.

It also means that they have continued the pattern of A Level results improving year on year (in non- pandemic impacted years) from 2017, with over half of all results graded A*-A.

‘We are delighted to see everyone doing so well in their exams, and in their wider lives – often achieving great co-curricular outcomes too. Within the altered context of this year’s examinations, we recognise a clear year-on-year growth from 2017, 2018, 2019 and are immensely proud of every pupil and the group.

We also see the huge amount of work and guidance given by ambitious colleagues and the ceaseless support of our parents. We wish this incredibly talented group of young people every success in their lives; they have been a wonderful part of our school and deserve every happiness.’
