The main points of entry to Emanuel School are at year 6 (10+), year 7 (11+) and sixth form (16+). We are sometimes, but not often, able to offer an occasional place in years 8, 9 or 10 if any become available.
Please note that we do not offer occasional places in years 11 or 13.
Should it be the case that we have any places available for entry into years 8, 9 or 10, we would invite interested families to register their son or daughter for the entry assessment process. Entry is on the basis of the applicant’s most recent school report, which parents are asked to provide upon making their child’s application, and entrance exams which would usually take place in May prior to entry in September. For year 8 entry, pupils sit exams in Maths, English and a modern foreign language (Spanish, French or German). For year 9 and 10 entry, pupils sit exams in Maths, English, Science and a modern foreign language (Spanish, French or German).
A small number of pupils would then be invited to attend an interview and at this stage, we would write to their current school to request a reference.
If you would like to register interest for an occasional place, please contact the admissions team: admissions@emanuel.org.uk
