Emanuel School would like to share important news about the leadership of our school. At the end of August 2025, Rob Milne will be leaving us to take up the headship of Dulwich College.
The Board of Governors would like to thank Rob for his immense contribution to developing and implementing our shared vision for the school. Emanuel today is a happy, friendly school where young people can enjoy a superlative range of co-curricular activities while fulfilling their academic potential. Rob’s leadership has been central to our growth, and we wish him continued success and happiness in his future professional endeavours.
Over the past seven years, Rob has worked with the Governing Body to assemble a first rate senior management team underpinning the school’s daily operation, ably assisted by talented and dedicated teaching and support staff. Therefore, Rob and his extended team will ensure that Emanuel continues to operate to the highest standards.
As with any change, there is also opportunity. We remain excited about Emanuel’s future, and confident that the school will attract a wide range of outstanding candidates to succeed Rob as our Head. To that end, the Governors have engaged with a leading recruitment specialist in education.
In the meantime, Rob remains in position until the end of the next academic year, continuing to oversee Emanuel life with his customary care and commitment, while the Governing Body works towards putting in place the right leadership to build on his significant achievements.
We are all committed to sustaining the school’s recognised identity and ethos.
