A taste of Hollywood came to Emanuel during the Easter holidays, with the third ‘Film in a Week’ project taking place at the school.

This project involved a dedicated team of eight Year 9 pupils from both Emanuel and Westminster City School (one of our foundation schools). Over the course of four days they learnt about the whole film production process and wrote, directed, acted, filmed and edited a short drama film called ‘Finding Harmony’. They worked really hard throughout the week and were able to get the film ready for a rough-cut screening for their parents on the last day.  They were very fortunate to have help from Chi Yu from London Film School, who showed them some examples of films he has directed and gave them some advice about how to make their film successful.

Many thanks to Mr Shetzer, Mr Cecile (WCS) and Elizabeth Odubanjo who provided support to the pupils during this project. The pupils should be very proud of the film they have produced, which can be watched below.
