Saturday 15th March, Emanuel School supported St George’s Hospital Charity in a 13 floor abseil of the Pelican Hotel in Tooting.

The abseiling was a rousing success. A little chilly and windy, but being sunny with the bluest of blue skies helped make this experience heart pumping and unforgettable. With the help of generous neighbours, friends, parents and grandparents, we smashed our £2500 goal. We took 19 pupils throughout years 6, 7, 8 and 12, including some pupils who took part last year and enjoyed it enough to do it again!

Students feedback:

“The abseiling was very fun! I had a great time and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely do this again”. -Sammy (Year 6)

“Abseiling was such an incredible experience as it allowed me to do something I wouldn’t ordinarily do and raise money for St George’s hospital. The experience was really exciting and definitely gives you that adrenaline boost”. – Ayesha (Year 12)
