This term has been a busy one for Emanuel’s athletics squad as we’ve had pupils competing at the borough and London championships, and involved in the annual Foundation Sports Day.

At the borough championships, our athletics squad from Years 7 to 10 took home 31 medals (5 Gold, 18 Silver and 8 Bronze). Gold medals were won by Oliver Haslegrave (Triple Jump), Isabel Lucas (200m), Oliver Perry (Javelin) and Fleur Todd-Warmoth (800m & 1500m). Their performances meant we had sixteen pupils selected to represent Wandsworth at the London Schools Championships, where Georgie Clarke won Gold in the Intermediate Girls 1500m, Fleur Todd-Warmoth won Silver in the Year 8 Girls 1500m and Freya Doyle won Bronze in the Year 7 Girls 800m.  Our Foundation Sports Day teams all did exceptionally well, finishing second overall, in a long day out at Sutton Valence School.

We will be looking forward to seeing some more excellent performances at Sports Day.
