Year 10 pupils were involved in a series of workshops today focusing on supporting their academic success.

Ms Johnston, Assistant Head: Teaching and Learning, delivered a presentation on how setbacks can be springboards and her top tips for revising in preparation for the pupils January exams. This was followed by a workshop called memory mnemonics delivered by the well-known company Elevate Educate.

Pupils enjoyed being taught by young and dynamic presenters that have only recently been through exams themselves and are currently studying at many of London’s top universities. The final workshop was delivered by motivational speaker James Shone who set up the charity “ I can and I am”. He shared his powerful story about how he himself overcame challenges and how pupils can work to inflate their self-belief balloons. He was inspiring and full of positive advice for pupils on how to adopt a growth mindset and use the phrase ‘I can’t do it yet”.

I would highly recommend watching James Ted talk here Read some of the comment below from pupils.
