Recently, the Biology department have been hosting some new visitors.
The eggs arrived at Emanuel on Tuesday 3rd March. The first chick hatched on Thursday 5th March at around 5 pm and the rest hatched on Friday 6th March. There are four black rocks (three male and one female) and two bluebells (one male and one female). There was a competition to decide the names of the chicks and the winning entries were Captain Beaky, Cornel, Garfield, Dave, Yolko Ono and Margaret.
Their small home has been shown on screens around school and they have been very popular with pupils with lots of pupils going into B3 to hold the chicks at break and lunchtimes. The chicks left Emanuel on Friday 13th March.
