On Wednesday, we welcomed players and parents of the cricket club to the annual awards evening.
It was a fantastic evening listening to the boys and girls speak so well about their respective seasons and awards were handed out for the ‘Breakthrough Player’ and ‘The Player of the Season’. The highlight of the evening was listening to both Head Boy and Head Girl, Nancy and Sinan, speak about their experiences of school cricket and the lasting impact that is has had on them. Nancy won the special achievement award for her contribution to both boys’ and girls’ cricket, while Sinan won the Dick Woodall Cup for outstanding contribution to Emanuel Cricket. A special mention also to Ivan Barker, Sacha Banks, George Wilson, Will Ellis and Joe Harrop who all leave the school this year after outstanding school cricket careers.
