On the weekend of the 23/24th April 130 Year 9 students went on expedition to the Surrey Hills.
They put into practice skills learned during their earlier training day. Activ staff worked closely with them on Day 1, supervising their navigation and teaching them how to apply their knowledge in the wild! On Saturday evening they set up camp in the sunshine and cooked a variety of meals from pasta and sauce to hot dogs to quesadilla. On Sunday the students agreed a route with their instructor then navigated independently, checking in occasionally.
All students made it successfully to the train station and are looking forward to their Qualifying Expedition on 14/15th May
