Over half term, 80 pupils raced in 18 Crews across the 3 days at the National Schools’ Rowing Regatta. The races took place along the 2000m rowing lake at Dorney Lake and all crews put in some fantastic performances.

Year 9s

All year 9 rowers put in extra effort after the national scullery and placed higher at National Schools.

Girls’ Quad delivered a strong performance

Girls’ Octo showed incredible determination after a broken oar and still managed 6th in the B final

Boys’ A Quad placed 16th overall, missing out on qualifying by 2 seconds and the B quad came 23rd in the A event.

Year 10s

The Boys’ coxed four were four seconds off qualifying and placed 17th overall

Girls’ coxed four showed grit and determination and came 6th in the B final

Girls’ Eight with 2 girls who only started rowing in April, raced brilliantly over 2000m on Saturday.

Year 11s-13s

The crew of the event was our senior girls’ coxed four who finished 5th in the country in an exciting A final.

Girls’ first four 5th in the country: Ros, Emily, Maddy, Gemma & Maya

Our boys’ Senior four finished 3rd in the B final and our girls senior coxless four finished second in their B final

Girls’ J16 four finished 2nd and boys J16 four finished 5th in the B final
