Last Thursday we took a trip to the musicals for a school wide celebration in honour of our fabulous music and drama departments Independent School of the Year Award for the Performing Arts 2022. We decorated the Buttery and Refectory with musical themed decorations and some wonderful photographs from the various musical performances that have been produced over the years. The menu had a musical theme too with Killer Queen’s Breaded Chicken Fillet with Scaramouche’s BBQ Sauce and Zack Attack’s Empanada, or for pasta lovers there was Uncle Fester’s Vegan Meatballs in Blood Red Tomato Sauce. For dessert it had to be Bruce Bogtrotter’s Chocolate Cake from Matilda the Musical. To accompany the lunch we played a fabulous selection of songs from the musicals which had everyone’s toes tapping and some great dance moves from our Year 7 boys.
It was a great way to mark a fantastic achievement.
