Year 12 pupil Ice has provided composition for the play ‘False Accounts’ which has been playing to audiences in Birmingham and London. She composed all the original music during the production as well as the pre-show and interval themes.

Directed by Lance Nielsen, the play, which is based upon the Post Office scandal, has been highly acclaimed by reviewers with some paying particular tribute to Ice’s ability to create tension, atmosphere and assisting the actors in evoking powerful emotions. On Friday, Ice was part question and answer panel on the shows closing night in London. The production now moves to cities in Scotland and Northern Ireland.

This week Ice was part of our St Cecilia’s concert where she played a drum solo to Britney Spear’s ‘Oops!…I did it again’, was part of the percussion ensemble and the senior jazz ensemble performing ‘Green Onions’. She is currently studying A-Levels in English, Drama and Classical Civilisation and completing an EPQ on the Great Gatsby.
