At the end of January, 206 pupils mostly from Years 9-11 completed this year’s Intermediate Maths Challenge. There was an Emanuel School record number of Gold scores (22 pupils, pictured with their certificates), led by Cal who got the best score in the school, and in Year 11, of 105 points. Other special mentions include Oliver, who followed closely with the best score in Year 10 with 99 points, and Edoardo, who got the best score, and only Gold, in Year 9 with 80 points. Finally, the challenge is targeted mainly for middle-school year groups, and our two Year 7s who took part in it, Udval and Dea, got Silver and Bronze certificates respectively: a phenomenal effort and result at their age.
