On Thursday 25th November, the Physics department were delighted to welcome OE Louisa Thomas (OE 2014-16) as an external speaker.

Having completed a degree in Physics at the University of Edinburgh, Louisa now works as a civil servant doing scientific research. The focus of the talk was Women in STEM and Louisa spoke passionately about the gender disparity in Physics and STEM careers. It was an inspirational talk for all attendees, and she serves as an excellent role model to our female pupils that they can establish themselves in any career they wish to.
