A small but dedicated crew of hard-core lower sixth Physics students have worked for six months preparing for the notoriously difficult AS Physics Olympiad competition, completing the gruelling test paper last week.

The questions are much harder than A level, and there is much less time available to do them in. The average marks on the paper nationwide were a measly 28%, but Emanuel’s average was 40%.

Alex, Joe and Tom achieved bronze awards, while Esme, Siddiq, Fred, Guy and Ollie achieved silver. Well done to all!
