This week’s Pride Week asks pupils, parents and staff to reflect on the broad diversity of our community: it has been about inclusivity, equality and acceptance. Throughout the week, assemblies and Life Education lessons have stimulated conversation around LGBTQ+ issues as well as acceptance of diversity in its many forms.

On Monday and Tuesday, pupils were treated to the Staff Lip Sync Spectacular, with teachers bringing their best pop star performances to the big screen in the Hampden Hall. Congratulations to Miss Mott for her epic victory in the final round (Mr House and Miss Holden, whilst putting in a bold effort, had to graciously concede defeat). Today’s colourful own clothes day has been an opportunity for pupils to show solidarity through colour.

Very special thanks to members of the school Pride Committee, particularly Upper Sixth students Sam Stocks, Sophie Le Gouellec De Schwarz, Susanna Tuffrey and Isabella Haque Bousquet, whose tireless efforts and commitment to an important cause have enabled this week’s colourful celebration of acceptance.
