Sixth Form Students meet once a week to discuss a variety of complex and controversial debating motions. Recent examples have included: ‘This House Believes We Were Right to Brexit’, ‘This House believes that online spaces have been detrimental to women’s rights movements’, ‘This House Believes Woke Culture Has Gone Too Far’ and ‘Andrew Tate: A Masculine Icon or Misogynist?’
This half term sees the fourth edition of the History and Politics Society’s House Debating Competition with students competing for the prestigious Keddie Cup. Past winners include such Emanuel debating luminaries as Pietro (Nelson), Esme (Howe) and Jacob (Rodney).
