On Tuesday 22nd March, we were all extremely fortunate to represent Emanuel school in the Sisters n Sport U13 National Cup Final.
It was a fantastic opportunity to play some amazing netball and to really challenge ourselves, as individuals and as a team. We had to compete in multiple rounds to get to this stage of the competition which got tougher as we progressed and we were extremely excited to make it to the Final.
The final took place in Birmingham at Bromsgrove school. When we got there, the tension was high. We knew this was going to be a tough match, so we were going to need to warm up and focus. We did not get off to a great start with them turning over three of our centre passes, making the score at the end of the first quarter 7-4 to them. In the second quarter we needed to pull it together to try and get ahead. But we could not bring the score back to level and at half time it was 15-8. We all pushed ourselves and tried our hardest however the score didn’t turn out how we may have hoped. Unfortunately, in the end we lost 30-18; however, we were all so grateful for the opportunity we got getting that far, and getting to train with our friends and with all our coaches help and support to get us to this point, especially Miss McCloud. We have been so lucky to have her as a coach this year.
