Last Friday, 15 students from Sixth Form visited the BFI in Southbank to take part in a study day for A level Spanish students from different schools.

This was based on Pedro Almodovar and his work. In the morning session there was a talk in which the speakers explored the trending themes and the film-making processes in Almodovar’s films. At the end of the day there was a screening of Almodovar’s film ‘Volver’ which students study as part of their A level course. This was a useful trip as it introduced us to the films we will be studying later this year and allowed us to gain a better understanding as well as hearing the opinions of other students.
