Emanuel Cricket recently received some fantastic news that its cricket programme has been recognised once again as one of the top 100 independent schools in the country in one of the world’s most respected and best-selling cricket publications ‘The Cricketer’.

Each year the ‘The Cricketer’ has publishes its Schools Guide  featuring the top 100 senior, the top 50 prep/junior and the top 20 all-girls schools in a bumper 156-page supplement.

Emanuel’s cricket provision has now been recognised in the top 100 schools for 4 successive years having initially also been recognised in 2016.

This is a great achievement for all students involved in the cricket programme and is testament to the hard work put in by Director of Cricket, Mr Booth, along with the support of  the sports department and wider academic staff to try and get cricket back to some relative normality after the difficulties of the pandemic.

Many students were given the opportunity to represent the school across no fewer than 33 teams ranging from U11 through to Senior sides in both Boys and Girls seasons.

The sports department will hope to build on this recognition with work already beginning for the coming season with pre season cricket sessions as part of the extra curricular programme beginning after Christmas break and are looking forward to a successful launch of the junior cricket tour for years 8 & 9 students in the new year.
