Lower Sixth pupils enjoyed the second of their UCAS and Higher Education preparation days on Wednesday during Field Week.

During the first session of the day, pupils received presentations from internal and external speakers on the following topics:

  • ‘Thinking Ahead and Finding Opportunities’ including information about internship schemes, graduate schemes and jobs and summer work or gap years
  • Applying to study Law
  • Applying to study in Europe or the rest of the world

Sessions two and three involved drafting of the personal statement with subject specialist input and in the last invaluable session of the day, nine recent Emanuel leavers returned to the school to speak to the Lower Sixth pupils about their university experiences since leaving school. The Lower Sixth are well prepared to continue their research and application progress this summer, so that they can make early applications at the start of the Autumn Term.
