Each week throughout this period of remote learning, pupils from Years 10 to 13 will be invited to watch a play online. There are some absolutely fantastic productions being released and it’s a fantastic opportunity to watch and discuss our love of theatre together.
This week saw our first theatre ‘trip’ in Drama to watch Frankenstein at the National Theatre. The beautifully directed production from Danny Boyle could be watched online with either Benedict Cumberbatch or Johnny Lee Miller playing Frankenstein, with the decision up to the audience. The splendour with which the production was created was enormously impressive and the club had a really interesting conversation about the play after school on Wednesday, finding the differences between the ways these two brilliant actors went about playing the intriguing role.
If any pupils in Years 10, 11, 12 or 13 would like to join the mailing list to hear about next week’s play, please email Miss Kerstein (Amanda.Kerstein@emanuel.org.uk) to join in next week.
