We were delighted to welcome well over 35 guests for our latest historical tour of the school and grounds for Wandsworth Heritage Fortnight.
The group consisted of a few parents, ex-parents from the 1980s, many interested locals and one OE. As many of our questions and jokes are fielded at the OE ‘audience’, Mr Geoffrey Young, who had not returned to Emanuel since 1960, did remarkably well and even threw in some of his own favourite stories from his time in the school. The weather was absolutely wonderful and many of the guests were absolutely stunned by the site and the beautiful playing fields which are hidden by the train-lines.
