On Wednesday 26th May, Year 6 had a day of fun in the sun with inflatables and obstacle courses galore led by Activ Camp.
All pupils had the opportunity to take part in team games, problem solving and obstacle courses in their groups with the self-named ‘Cheeky Monkeys’ coming out on top. The most popular obstacle was most definitely the Sweeper, which can only be described as a child-friendly ‘Total Wipeout’. There were a lot of tired but very happy faces at the end of the day!
The next day Year 6 headed off to ZSL London Zoo for a ‘Climate Change and Animals’ workshop, where scientists at London Zoo ran a circuit of mini- investigations into the impact of climate change on animal welfare around the world. Pupils also had the opportunity to explore the zoo, it’s inhabitants and (possibly most popularly) the gift shop (all for a good cause). It was another incredibly warm day and our Year 6 pupils represented Emanuel very well on their first ever outing in uniform.
What a great end to the half-term for our youngest year group!
