Just before half-term we held the Hill Form section of the lower school literary quiz for the prestigious Neale Shield. It was an incredible contest played with great enthusiasm and impressive book knowledge.

This is our fourth annual event and we have never had so many individual pupils involved, with both classes rotating their teams after every 10 of the 50 questions and almost fighting to get on the team! It was fantastic to see.

6ERM came from behind, losing the first match-up to win the next two fixtures for a 2-1 win, but it was incredibly close and 6CAL acquitted themselves very well. 6ERM progressed to the finals which we will report on next week. Next year the Hill Form will be quiz ‘veterans’ and will be strong players when they compete in the Year 7section.

Well done to everyone involved. Just look how excited Ms McCloud (6ERM) is with her winning class in the photo!
