Anna selected for Surrey Lions GU14 hockey squad

Year 8 pupil Anna Ayres has been selected for the Surrey Lions GU14 squad.

They had their first training session last Friday (8th November), with Anna taking part in the kicking drills with a broken finger! George Pinner, England and GB goalkeeper, took the coaching session (pictured with Anna below).

Although the weather wasn’t at its best, Anna enjoyed meeting up with other goalkeepers who she befriended through the lengthy trials process that began last summer. They have numerous goalkeeper and outfield sessions before playing county matches next March and April.
