We would like to thank every Upper Sixth student and their parents for the patient, determined and supportive way in which they have worked with the school since the initial publication of A Level results last week. We now find that Ofqual and the DFE have decided that centre assessed grades (CAGs) will be used as the final grades awarded to Upper Sixth students this year. This is in line with the steps taken in other parts of the UK.

Beyond the final outcomes, we wish to congratulate every student for their efforts throughout this extraordinary year and for maintaining their resolute and ambitious attitudes.

We wish them every success in the coming academic year as they follow their talents and ambitions at university, at colleges for the creative and performing arts and through GAP years. They have been remarkable young people and they have made a lasting impression our their school in so many ways, from sports to music and drama, day to day lessons and in their enduring generosity of spirit.

We very much look forward to seeing them all again, when times allow, for a proper leavers’ event with staff and parents at Emanuel.
