Well done to all of our GCSE pupils. They have come through one of the strangest and most challenging academic years I have known, and continued to do their very best.

As we are aware, these outcomes, like the A Level outcomes, are now based on centre-assessed grades. I am sorry that this group of pupils did not have the chance to prove the full extent of their ability under exam conditions, but it is important to note that their grades are based on strong evidence and assessments from across their GCSE studies.

They should be proud of themselves, confident in their ability and excited about their further studies. Once again, I would like to thank each of them, as well as their teachers and families, for their approach to this year and their wider contributions to the school.
