Last half term our U6th Biologists took part in the British Biology Olympiad.
About 6000 students take this from the UK and internationally. We have some exceptional results including one Commended and six Highly Commended.
However the number of medals we won is higher than last year and the following students medaled0:
Bronze: Bert (U6JFF) Rosalind (U6KSG), Zara (U6RJB), Finlay (U6JEH), Isla (U6JFF) and Will (U6HMM).
Silver: Philippa (U6HHM), Alec (U6AF) and Bryan (U6SKR)
Gold: Atitiya (U6SKR)
Atitiya has also been invited to the next round of the BBO where she will compete for a place in the UK team for the International Olympiad in Kazakhstan in the Summer. This includes having to read a scientific paper and answer questions on it – a truly high level skill that Atitiya has already shown an aptitude for in her various extra-curricular activities.
