Congratulations to the Emanuel chess team, who won the school cake award after successive victories against Southborough School (10-2) and Hampton School (9-3) in the Briant Poulter Rapid Play Chess League, leaving us in a strong position for the remaining five fixtures we have to play before Easter. Potentially we could even win the division, which would be only our second triumph in nearly 20 years! We will certainly do our best, starting with the big match against Sutton Grammar School on Friday 18th.
Sadly because of exams and other clashes, a number of the team were unable to make it for the cake award photo which features both Enzo and Charlie. Absent from the photo are Luke and Sophie who are doing their GCSE mocks, Zeeshan, Pietro and Mackenzie.
