We might have missed Chinese New Year due to lockdown, but that didn’t stop us having a magnificent Chinese Feast for lunch on Thursday.
The chefs cooked up a wonderful array of Chinese dishes to tempt our palates including a delicious tender Sichuan Beef & Pepper Stir Fry and Cantonese Pork & Noodles. There were also tasty Mushrooms & Chinese Greens in Hoi Sin Sauce and Szechuan Smoked Tofu & Edamame Beans for the vegetarians and vegans. The main courses were accompanied by rice, stir fry vegetables and green beans with chilli, sesame seeds and soy sauce. Prawn crackers and fortune cookies topped off the day.
The pupils in the Buttery and Refectory enjoyed the day and the red and gold decorations really gave the dining areas a festival look.
