On Saturday 11th December, all rowers from Year 9 to 13 took to the water in fancy dress in mixed crews.
Over 13 knockout- sprint races took place throughout the morning with the overall winners being awarded a Christmas Pudding. This event saw all members of the Emanuel School Boat Club with some Alumni coming back and join in the festivities. Some even dusted off their all-in -ones and raced. A huge thank you to Karen Dundas & Cliff Bucknall (Parents of rowers) and their team of parents, who supplied mulled wine and food for over 150 people.
The Boat Club would like to thank parents who made donations throughout the morning, raising over £1000. After race awards, the rowers said goodbye to the legendary Coach Parham who is now coaching at Radnor House. The final honour of the day was the naming of our newest Boat “Sam Gourevitch”. This is in recognition of Mr Gourevitch’s tireless years of service. An honour well deserved.
