Over the October half term break, fifteen pupils from year 11 and 12 participated in a ‘Film in a Week’ project, facilitated by Mr Skinner and Mr Dunley from the school’s Films and Media Department with expert coaching from actor Kent Goldfinch and cinematographer Ben Lam. For those studying A Level Film Studies, this was a great opportunity for them to develop the technical and creative skills that they will need when making their own short films as part of the course. For the Year 11s, it gave them a taster of what they can expect from the practical aspects of the course. The pupil worked really well in their filmmaking teams and have created two highly entertaining short films which will be screened at the Emanuel Film Festival next year. Huge thanks to Miss Rollino (Marketing and Admissions Department) for providing support throughout the project.
