The current Year 11s enjoyed a ‘Financial Crisis Speed Dating’ taster session as part of the introduction to A Level Economics with Mrs Walton.

This involved them independently researching one of 12 financial crises that have occurred since the South Sea Bubble in 1720 right through to the Subprime Crisis of 2007. They then shared their findings in a 3-minute briefing session of their future classmates. This was followed by a lively discussion about the nature of bubbles and how globalisation has led to the impact of bubbles spreading more widely as time went by.
