After lots of practising our eight quiz players headed to Latymer Upper School last Wednesday to represent the school in the ‘The CWIZZ’ – a book-based quiz organised by a collective of south London authors.
It was an incredibly close competition fought between 25 schools in which we eventually came fourth, with only a couple of points separating the top teams. Here are the top six schools:
- Latymer Prep School Team B 34.5
- The West London Free School A 34.0
- Ravenscourt Park Prep School 33.5
- Emanuel School Team A 33.0
- Latymer Upper School team B 31.0
- St James Senior Girls School Team B 30.0
Our ‘A’ team featured Oscar, Emma, Atitiya and Hope. Our ‘B’ team included Isabelle, Capucine, Freya and Imogen. This will be our last quiz competition for our Year 8players Oscar, Emma, Atitiya and Hope who have been very dedicated members of my quiz group and I would like to thank them for their terrific contributions.
Even if you don’t win, quiz competitions are great fun and everyone had a great time. Our next event will be our annual tilt at the much more difficult Kids’ Lit Quiz, which takes place next December, and we will be looking to better our 10th position of 2018 in this super competitive South London heat.
