We are very proud of our Year 12 student Emma who played in the Junior European Touch Tournament for England in the U18 Mixed team:
“This summer the finals were against France and regrettably we lost by a single try in extra time. Despite coming in 2nd, it was an amazing experience, playing with people from all over England and against people from all over Europe. There were still some setbacks as it was 35 degrees over the days of the tournament, meaning the game times had to be edited as many players suffered from heatstroke. This was all a whole new challenge to me and despite how tough it was I’m glad I persevered as I made some unforgettable memories throughout.
I miss all the friends I made along the way, but I now get to meet all my teammates again as opposition at the National tournament in a week’s time. I also can’t wait to hopefully enter the global tournament next year to represent the country! ”
