Another year and another Emanuel Sixth Form Leavers’ Ball, held last week at the Thames Rowing Club on a beautiful summer’s day.

It was great to see so many staff and sixth formers attend, including a number of OEs. As always it was a tremendously fun event and an opportunity for staff and students to converse in a context outside the classroom whilst dressed up in their finest suits and dresses. The balcony is a huge draw of the location, which overlooks the river, and despite a strong breeze at the start, it was busy and thriving by the end of the night. Special thanks should go to Pietro Fassina, Robyn Dibden, Tom Korn and Sacha Batchelor who dutifully helped out on the day to ensure the venue was suitably decorated with even my decoration skills stretched to their limits. None of this would have been possible without the coordination and diligence of Tom Russell who successfully oversaw the entire operation and managed to secure a top flight DJ in the guise of Joe Gordon, just off the back of Mr Price’s wedding, an inflatable photo booth and a visually striking array of delicious treats. It was an incredibly fun evening and a fitting way to end the students’ time at Emanuel. Many thanks to all those students and staff members who made it such a special evening for all.
