Well done to the girls of 8RDC who triumphed in the grand final of the Lower School Literary Quiz. Sophie, Phoebe, Dorothy, Annabel, Isabelle and Imogen were a perfect combination in narrowing defeating the second Year 8 team, 8LVD, by three points.
The final scores are as follows:

2. 8LVD 26
3. 7HEB 25
4. 6EKM 17
Both the Hill form and Year 7 teams, 6EKM and 7HEB, should also be complimented on their sterling efforts, bearing in mind they are younger than the Year 8 teams. 7HEB and 6EKM had qualified for the finals by winning their own year competitions which took place before half-term.
Everybody had a fabulous time, answering 80 book related questions on the following subjects:
- Comics & graphic novels
- Fill in the blanks
- Picture books
- Famous first lines
- Characters in books
- Classics
- Bestsellers
- Nursery rhymes
It was fantastic to see so many reserve players watching and pupils debating about who was to play the next round if they had too many players! Well done to everybody who got involved.
