We were delighted to hear that towards the end of March, Tom Davies (OE 2007-14) will have his first book published: Emu Racing and Record Chasing: A Teenager’s Ride Around the World.
Tom, who is now studying Engineering at Loughborough University, became the youngest person to cycle around the world in 2015 whilst on his gap year at the age of 19. Tom raised over £50,000 in the seven months it took him to cycle the 18,000 miles, averaging 100 miles per day. At the time it made the news headlines and everyone at the school was so proud of his incredible achievement.
Tom has a life-long passion for cycling and pushing himself to the limit and hopes his book might inspire others to do something a bit different with their lives by sharing some of his exploits. Read an interview with Tom here.
