We are proud to announce that Niclas Baker (OE2006-2011) became the British champion over 400 in the Muller British Athletics Championships in Manchester last weekend.
Niclas ran a personal best of 46.05 to become national champion. The next step is the Tokyo Olympics where Niclas has been selected to compete in the men’s 4x400m relay for Great Britain.
These are both significant achievements which reflect Niclas’ enduring commitment and hard work despite the multitude of challenges presented by the pandemic.
You can read more about Niclas’ journey to the Olympics here in the recent interview he gave us.
We wish Niclas and the relay team the very best of luck in the Olympics. We will be watching with keen interest, a few nerves and much pride.
